API Keys

Overview

An API key is a unique code that allows two systems to communicate with each other. It is used to authenticate requests made by the client and verify that they are coming from an authorized source. This helps protect sensitive data and prevent malicious attacks on the system, making it an essential part of any secure application architecture.

Samespace offers three distinct API key types:

1. Voice API

2. Function API

3. Chat API.

4. Analytics API

Each of these API keys serves a unique purpose and grants access to specific features within the Samespace platform.

To create API keys in Samespace, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the "Settings" menu and select "API Keys" under the Developers section.

Step 2: To generate a new API key, click the "+" icon or the "Generate a new Key/Token" button. Fill in the fields in the dialog box by giving a name to your API key and selecting the desired type of API key.

To regenerate API keys in Samespace:

Step 1: Go to the "API Keys" option in the sidebar under the "Settings" tab.

Step 2: To regenerate a specific API key, hover over the corresponding row and click the three dots icon. Then, select "Regenerate."

Delete API Key

To delete an API key, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the "Settings" tab and select "API keys" from the sidebar.

Step 2: Locate the API key you want to delete and hover over its row. Click "Delete".
